Jamie works on microbial ecology and human health as a senior post-doctoral bioinformatics researcher at UCC. Since 2013, he has worked on the roles of microbial diversity, the microbiome in human health, impact and interactions with pre- and probiotics, and statistical methods for exploring microbial genomics and ecology. His current work uses computational biology to explore how women’s health, the gut, and vaginal microbiomes interact, and how these connections can be used to support women’s health, especially in endometriosis.
