Rebecca Wymer

Nutritionist

Rebecca was diagnosed at the age of 27, 12 years after her first gynaecology appointment, at her second laparoscopy.

She has experienced symptoms such as pelvic pain and uterosacral ligament damage that has that has affected her mobility and fertility.

Endometriosis caused Rebecca to change careers. Originally a chef, she found that the long hours on her feet weren’t possible anymore, leading them to sell the family business. Now, Rebecca is a nutritionist after her endometriosis allowed her to realise how valuable diet is for health, recovery and symptom management.

“The daily impact has given me a burning drive to improve care, diagnosis and treatment of women with Endometriosis for the future, so that no woman or family has to go through the fight I had.

I think [ENDO1000] is not just what the endo community needs, but society as a whole. This project will be an amazing tool for showing this in the data, which ultimately is what’s required to make society sit-up and listen.”
