Lyndsey’s endometriosis means she suffers from daily pain that spans form her back down to her feet. She regularly feels nausea, fatigue and other body discomfort.
Lyndsey has had seven laparoscopic surgeries to cut out some of the endometriosis tissue from her organs, including removal of her appendix. She has also tried hormonal birth control, IUDs, painkillers, acupuncture, and even a chronic pain management course to help her come to terms with endometriosis.
“Endometriosis took a lot from me but I would later discover that it gave me a lot too. My mindset changed and I now always try to turn a negative into a positive. I realised I might not have the same life as before but I would have a life and it was up to me to make the most of it.”
