Candice is one of the founders of Endo Warriors West Lothian – an Independent Support & Awareness group for people living with endometriosis. Since they began in 2017 the Endo Warriors have been supporting endometriosis research at the University of Edinburgh.
It has been 25 years since Candice got her official diagnosis which like most took a long time – 11 years in total! Since then, she has undergone numerous surgeries including a pelvic clearance, but due to nature of her endo, it continues to grow outside the pelvis. This means that she has been on a drug called letrozole for seven years to help try and manage her symptoms.
Like most women living with endo it has had a huge impact on her personally. In short endo has been life changing and life limiting for her.
Candice says “The endo community feel like a burden and we are often treated like a burden. My hope is that ENDO1000 will help empower the community”
